What your public school is really teaching, and what
you can do about it.

Top 4 Questions

Parents and community leaders are often shocked by what is taught in public school classrooms. Here, you'll find answers to the most common questions we receive from our readers.

    • Gender Fluidity

    • The LGBTQ+ Agenda

    • Sexual Promiscuity

    • Abortion

    • Progressive Organizations (Planned Parenthood, etc.)

    • Trans Lifestyle, transitioning for minors

  • Under the law, CSE must affirmatively recognize all sexual orientations, gender expressions, and sexual practices. It is explicit in its content, and promotes high-risk sexual behaviors to our children. CSE also places emphasis on sexual "freedom" and self-rule, undermining parental authority and the family unit. Yes, it really IS that bad!

  • Parents have the right to an in-person review of all materials used to teach their children in public schools. Therefore, your school district must allow parents/guardians to inspect any written, audiovisual, or supplemental educational material used in Comprehensive Sexuality/Health education and HIV prevention education. During the inspection, parents may make copies of any written educational material that will be distributed to pupils, unless forbidden by copyright laws.

  • Capitol Resource Institute has sent a formal Open Records Request (FOIA) to the more than 900 school districts in California, asking each district to disclose which specific curriculum they are currently using to comply with the California Healthy Youth Act (CHYA). Please see the map below that reflects the information we have collected thus far. We are continuing our quest to demand answers from every district, so if yours is not yet available, please check back regularly for updated information.

CSE: Where is it taught?

The CRI team has been working around the clock to complete our CSE Map project, which will keep you informed about our fight against the dangerous agenda of the Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE) movement. CRI sent a formal Open Records Request (FOIA) to each of the more than 900 school districts in California, asking them to submit information regarding the curriculum they use to teach CSE. While many school districts have submitted the requested information, some have decided to flout the law by refusing to respond. We will continue to demand answers, so check back regularly as more requests are fulfilled.

This has been a tremendous undertaking, spanning many months, so there may be changes in the data. If you discover conflicting or differing information about a specific district or curriculum, please contact kengland@capitolresource.org.
